I've not damaged either of my two Disco's off road apart from deep scratching from scrub. Anyway this morn I got lost taking the "scenic route" in the torrential rain on the way home from my cousin's house in Lower Plenty. Drove down a road that got narrower and narrower before breaking into fields and arriving at a dead end with a whole bunch of antenna masts:eek:.

"No worries, I'll just pull over into that sinky looking clay bog hole while I check my trusty Melways":D.

Smashed the passenger side rear quarter panel and the drivers side rear door trying to get out. Narks me somewhat that I wasn't even properly off road and it'd never happened in all those kms in the bush.

Do you bother with repairs or leave it to add character?

Depends if you can afford to as much as anything and what the car is worth. I put a dint in my back door on Fraser a couple of years ago and as I am only a uni student I can't afford to fix it. Now that it has been there for a while I don't even notice it anymore so I would say leave the battle scar there.

Haha pics for the needy hey? Willco in the morning.

If anyone asks about the ding, i'll tell them it materialised whilst saving a cruiser:D

Each ding is an embellishment, just like the story you'll put behind it
:D

I put a ding in the passenger front door about 9 months ago now. Bashed it out a bit at home to the window would still work.

I will fix it eventually but am in now real rush. I'm looking for a second hand door in the same colour (epson green) as getting a door painted is too much.
