I am leaving soon for the Canning and while I have no problems with the D3 I would like a specialist to give it a thorough check. I am from Canberra and have heard there are some good folk in Sydney area.

Any suggestions please.

Take it to Ray at Canberra Motor Works in Mitchell.

Give Gary a ring at Alto, Artarmon. They know their stuff.

Graeme Coopers would get my vote - 43 College St Newtown, ph 02 9550 2689. They have been in the business for something like 30 years

Alto? Really. I wouldn't!

I would!

Depends on your situation.
mrapocalypse, do you have a D3?
The D3 is such that you need access to LRs GTR for updates and fixes.
Alto know their stuff and are entusiastic about the vehicle.

For pure mechanical stuff an indie (eg Cooprs) would be better and cheaper though.

The risk with an indie is if you want help with a claim outside warranty, a dealer will not fight in your corner.
Swings and roundabouts really.

Hi Caver,
I think this thread is for a pre-trip inspection. I think that Cooper's would be capable of doing that well.

Best Wishes,
Peter

I appreciate your thoughts. Mechanical inspection is my concern so Coopers looks good.
