Not much of an improvemnt, visually; still looks like a lego car. It's not to my taste in the looks department but that wouldn't stop me buying one, the cost would though. ;)

Are they really going to call it a Discovery 4/LR4 ? I would have thought Discovery 3a would have been more in tradition. ;)

The updates to the FFRR look good as well

I like the look of the front of it.But the rear end of it really lets it down.Still looks like a van from the rear.

The front end looks great and the interior is also very nice! But the rear looks are not anything to write home about...the rear windows should come down level with the windows in front i believe.

The disco roof hump is slowly dissapearing. Very nice tho, but would you use it in the bush?

IMHO both the exterior and the interior styling are more boring that the Disco 3. I liked the bold, clean lines of the D3! The D4 seems to be a toning down of what is a classic.

Agreed! D3 has a bold, clean look. D4 seems more timid.

I'm very contented. My wife made me buy the D1 initially and she hate's the look of the D3.
Reckons it doesn't look as good as the D1!!!
So good to be content....

I like the terrain select nob where it is in the D3. In the D4 you can't fiddle with it from the back seat.

Grill = ugly (I like a SOLID grill)
sparkly lights = ugly - front & rear
Side profile = horrid - though it could be the angle or lens trickery
Interior = now that is a place I want to be......

I would really like them to extend the rear for more space....maybe they have? I'm yet to read.

edit = saw some other pics of the side (other than the one on this thread and it ain't all that bad. It's a little toned down from the D3)

That colour is just magic...timeless.

I don't think there are enough changes cosmetically to call it a D4. Maybe a 3a.

The engine is new design sequental turbos and 600nM of torque.:o
Tojo needed 4.5 litres to get that.
Not radially new though but an evolution from D3.:BigThumb:

I think there was a D3 update (MY07?) and also an earlier D1 (MY91?) update when they went to the 3.9L,

So that would make this the D8 or "Date" :p

looks just like a facelifted D3, which would make it a D3a, to be a truly new D4, it would have to have a new body.
