reversing camera and tinting

I've got a Nissan GU cab/chassis. I have fitted a reversing camera that clips over the existing rear view mirror. It is virtually useless in bright sunshine. Has anyone had there windows tinted to overcome this as was it effective

I had one in the County but it fouled the sun visors- Doh. Its now in the Disco & SHMBO loves it. No probs with visability. Maybe some of the cheaper ones dont perform? Ours was only $125 on evilbay.

Is it the camera or the screen that clips to the mirror ?
If its the screen then I hate those things with a passion coz they take up too much of my field of view - about 1/2 the windscreen !
