D1 Keyless entry

I have a quick question about this, did all the Disco's have it? The Disco I picked up for the missum is a late 97 and the previous owner didn't have the controller. If it's is supposed to have it where can I get a replacement unit?

Hi Larns,
My D1 95 model has central locking and keyless entry, but when i went to purchase a new push button for the key ring i was advised that it was a non original part and probable fitted by dealer that sold it when new and as it is part of the alarm system I would need to find what brand and go from there.
Mine apparently came with Key central locking Only from factory not remote.
Some dealers where fitting or having fitted remote systems around this time.
Not 100% sure of 1997 you could check with dealer as I did.

You could try contacting a dealer give them your VIN and they should be able to get one for you. I paid around $200.00 for 1 for my 1996 TDI Discovery included programming.:)

Not all of them had it.
I don't know which ones had it and which ones didn't but I'd suspect that if it is an SE or higher then it probably did but the S may not have.

Mine doesn't but it's a 94 base model.
