Just wondering where other people keep their spare wheel on a 110 or130 ute. i have a 110 flat tray and want somewhere else to put the spare wheel other than locked to the front of the tray.
What do you think of the bonnet wheel holder? where can you get one?

Why didnt LR put the spare wheel under the back like every other vehicle?????

On my 110 ute I have the spare tyre standing up at the front of the tray,
But when i get it running again i will have it mounted in the middle of the tray, because having it standing up limits the vision out the rear window.

I think the reason why land rover don’t have the tyre under the back, is because that is
where the fuel tank is.

Mine is just up against the headboard at the front of the tray on the driver's side.

I have seen one under the tray at the back, but the tray was a custom one that sat a fair way above the chassis.

i know where the fuel tank is but its just annoying that you have to have the wheel on the back. i was think of doing some alterations and moving the tray back the width of the wheel so i can mount it between the cab and tray. any thoughts. or better pictures?????

Make sure you find a spot where it won't cause a blind spot. Dad's was like that and it was a ***** of a thing.

Maybe bonnet would be better, but then you have Sunraysias don't you?

My defender 110 300tdi spare is under tray ontop of fuel tank. It's 7.50r16 and fits very snuggley between rails on TripleM alloy tray.Tray needs to be 2275mm long to get spare in & out-you have to pull spare out 1/3 then tilt down to get it out. It's a bit of a bugger to put back in.If your tray rails are far enough apart for wheel to fit between it may be easy to raise tray for wheel to fit.My tray fitting is standard TripleM

My sapre is also under the tray just up above the fuel tank. The only problem I find with that is that the tray needs to be fairly high to have it underneath so makes it harder loading/unloading stuff. I can also have a spare on the bonet if I want:D
