Does anyone know where I can get hold of some 256mb pc100 sodimm ram for a Compaq Armada E500/M700

I upgraded swmbo's compaq evo n610 a while ago, fitted it with 1gb ram, got the old stick sitting right in front of me, it's 256mb, DDR, PC2100.
If that sounds like what you're after, you're welcome to it.:cool:

PC2100 is faster than your 100Mhz RAM but in theory it should be OK and just run the ram slower.
BUT the ram moose has is DDR ram and that won't be suitable for your system you need SD.

Thanks for that, was looking for something a bit more local and a bit cheaper. Have found some from the US for about $17 a stick but I need a few of them as I have a few of these laptops. Might be simpler to go back to W2000, they seem to run a bit better on that with 128mb installed.
