Iam sure theres been many a post on Importing, so really just after a quick answer, at what age can you import from the Uk, a car, ie its classed as vintage or classic, yet you dont have to have owned it for a year..

You can import any car without having owned it - BUT - the rules and taxes are horrendous.
Having owned and used a car for over a year reduces these impediments.
This was recently covered in a couple of thread so a search might be helpful.

I see, i thought you had to own it, what are the costs. ie import taxes?

I seem remeber it was cheaper to import a car over 15 years old . As alot of the rules don't apply
Need to get on the Aus gov webb sites and have a look around.
