I heard on the news it's been a bit wet down there, all OK? How's our side of town Dave? I'm in Cairns for the next couple of weeks and it's raining here too. The up side is the dams are now over 55% fullest(?) in 5 years.

terrible story about the young girl missing... my heart goes out to the relatives and those that have to search for her.
the rest was mostly iokay in caboolture, bribie road was cut, morayfield road was cut, bit damp underfoot in a lot of places :p
a few cars in places they shouldnt have been after attempting crossings...
a trip to maryborough early this morning was a bit of an eye opener...
seen one idiot try to flag down a b'double at full tilt by stepping out in front of it, giving the poor old truckie a lot less the 75 metres to pull it up... man with iq problem only just made it out of the way.... burn rubber smell in my truck for hours afterwards got up my nose ....
a few vehicles tried to cross flooded highway just south of the maryborough and were washed off the road... madness.. one vehicle seemed pretty heaviy wedged between trees... all appeared to be light weight japanese or korean ...
poor buggers up pomona way copped it again...

It is raining now here in Moore Park Beach, I hope that it is the last bit for a couple of weeks.
Yesterday was one report of 190 mm of rain in 3 hours near Bundy
The sugar cane looks very nice :)

I own a house in Caboolture but I wouldn't want to live there - it is a bit rough:o

I was just looking at the dam levels, North Pine Dam has gone up nearly 15% since Good Friday.

Wise move Mrs N, it's not the 18" that's the worry.....it's the speed of it. I had to ford 2.5-3 km at 1 metre + a few years back, it was barely flowing but I waas towing empty fuel tankers, and they float!

Funny place Caboolture, just after we moved here i was sitting at the traffic lights parked beside a current model Jag with two barefoot flanno wearing blokes on the footpath pushing a stroller with a car battery in it. Talk about a clash of worlds.:eek::eek:

Rents and occupancy is good though - a great place to invest.
