Hi, I have a 200 Tdi and recently changed the old rusted rear tank for a new 100L tank. A couple of problems. The gauge reads just less than 1/2 when full. I can deal with that as it was expected but the pick up is not getting the last 20L.
Before I drop the tank again and remove the float gauge and pick up, i just wanted to know a few things?
If the pick up/float does not reach far enough down can you put a rubber fuel line extension on it to get the last of the fuel?
Can you change the float so it indicates more fuel when full??
Thanks

hi to you from england yes you can put a rubber bit of hose on it no problems as gauge take sender out its a bit of trial and error but the wire arm float is attached to you have to gently bend so it reaches further out along tank my advice to make it easier cut an inspection hole into boot floor then make a bigger plate up that screws on to floor
