The rear brake wheel cylinders are nigh on impossible to buy . Apparently in the UK, to get around the problem, they fit series 2A/3 cylinders and use an adapter to couple to the 80 inch 1/4" pipe ... has anyone here done this and where did you buy the adapter ?

FWD's sell an adapter for the 2A/3 front cylinders..to fit the 80 inch brake hose to the 2A cylinder ... I have these fitted but need to work out the rear cylinders ..

I know about sleeving, but in many cases the original cylinder is badly rusted or damaged and is beyond sleeving.

The easiest way around the problem is to replace the brake pipe and "T" piece across the whole axle assembly and then get Pirtek or Enzed to make up the rubber hose to adapt the change. It's easy to salvage the "T" piece from any later series 1 or series 2 vehicle.

Addit: This method requires fitting the later wheel cylinders to both sides.

I used the FWD adaptor on the rear brakes Mike and made up a new pipe,
