Just a note to say I have just replaced the big-end bearings after 370,000km.
They were in reasonable condition except for a couple of things.
1. There were small pittings in the bottom shells (due to corrosion no doubt)
2. The shells no longer stuck in the conrod. They fell out easily when I undid the nuts and clung to the crankshaft. Might have something to do with the kms, or the fact I've been running over 20psi boost for the last 12 months...
Didn't take any pics sorry, but the whole job took 4 hours from whoa to go, and cost me about $20 for the shells.
Also, the engine does sound a little quiter now...;)
