AULRO Defendoor bulk purchase

Hi folks,

I 've been organising the possibility of a bulk buy of the Defendoor with the AULRO.com logo on it. So here's the deal.

What's it look like? Well the proposed one is this:

What's it going to cost? The cost including postage will be $10. All proceeds will go back into the forum over the cost of the item and postage.

Is it worth it? That's up to you. All I can say is I have a Defendoor on my Puma and it is very effective at keeping the dust and mud out of the fuel filler recess. The unit is as easy to use as shown on the Defendoor (http://www.defendoor.co.uk/Defender-fuel-filler-recess-cover-features.php) website. The other thing is we Defender owners will have something to make those D3 and Rangie owners jealous:p

If you want one without the logo, I'm sure this can be arranged as well.

So if you have a Defender and would like a forum badged Defendoor for it, or maybe even 2 or 3, then please let me know. Once I've got an idea of the numbers I'll get back to you with payment details etc.

I'll check with the vendor. He definitely does them in green (as shown on the website). If it was me I'd get a black one for your Puma as the green may not mach your vehicle and given the rest of the black trim it won't stand out. A miss-matched green colour would stand out a lot more.

Will they fit a county?
Not sure, mate in town has a "County" - well bits of it are, but some are SII, SIII, County and Defender - If the fuel filler is a County's I'll be able to check. I've also e-mailed Defendoor on this. So will get back to you.

The logo is hot stamped on the black cover it also can't be painted as the type of plastic doesn't really take to anything. Oh and hope to see you guys in a few weeks:)

Put me down for one, assuming they fit a 110 (County) which I am pretty certain they do - I don't think the sheet metal has changed for a long while - probably also fit Series 2/2a/3 109 station wagons as well.

Hi Derek,
Black with logo will be fine and I'll have 2.
The ebay one I have has shown that they are practical ,stay in place well and really keep the dust out of the filler cap key hole.Wish I had had one on the simpson trip.,

No, I've been in contact with Mark and will organise it as one shipment. There's no problem mailing it locally within Australia and still coming in at $10 with a small amount of this contributing to the forum upkeep. The units come pre-packed in a mailing sleeve.


Also if there is a Thanks by me (dm_td5) under your post it means I've acknowledged it for the purchase count - which currently stands at 92!
