Well thanks to RMP
I have had 4 of my pictures published and accredited to me in the overlander magazine:).

I also have my kakadu trip being published in landrover enthusiast possibly over 2 months starting in July I think...

and I may also possibly have a few more pics going in landrover enthusiast accredited to me for another article:)

I'm a happy girl.

Just need to get to grips with my speed light so I can photograph better quality photo's in slightly tricker lighting situations and I will be even happier. thanks to a member on here (I'm not sure if he wants to be named so I won't) I'm tackling that also as he gave me some great DVD's to watch.....might I say the shots of the Ballet are amazing!!:)

Still the whole flash photography....its like another language something I feel will take me a while to get to grips with:(:)

Well done!

Which issue(s) of Overlander?

May :)

Probably doesn't mean much to some.....but my goal of learning to photograph was to get my pics into a magazine.

Now it never may happen again, but the thing for me is it has happened!

I really hope I can make it happen again.

Cool, will keep an eye out for it and as you say, hopefully this will lead to bigger things :)

Have you thought about sending in the Kakadu report to any of the magazines here (after a spell check of course!)

I didn't spell anything wrong in the above post did I?

And no not thought of sending to magazines here, who would be interested in two no bodies going to kakadu in a landrover here?

Nah, just the grammar lol

If you read some of the trip articles in those mags, I reckon 1/2 of them are by average folks. People here found the Kakadu report interesting, Landrover Enthusiast found it interesting, so why wouldn't other people find stories of your travels interesting?

Hey I know my grammar is bad:mad:.

I have to say though I feel a hell of a lot better about it after reading a few peoples posts on here lately:). People can at least read what I'm writing, most of the time.:D

You know what is funny though. I was stressing about sending my report to the magazine as I stressed to him that my grammar was bad, I said I was going to have someone proof read and correct it first. His reply was don't we like the story more so because of the way it is written! :lol2: as it was REAL and it read like a real experience. So it couldn't of been that shocking (in saying that the version I gave them had been adjusted a little in the grammar deparment thanks to the windows grammar check):lol2:

I have been told that I write as though I speak. I also had someone tell me that if your never sure how to write something grammatically correct then write how you would say it. Thats probably my problem I speak British slang :lol2:

Well done:cool:

I no longer subscribe to LRE (too many ad's and the cost) but it's usually in the newsagency rack so I'll keep my eye out for it. Don't buy Overlander as I find the articles no better than any of the other Australian 4WD magazines.

I popped in to the newsagent and picked up the May issue so I'd have something to read over breakfast and low and behold, I saw your pics. If I didn't know otherwise I'd have assumed they were taken by a professional photographer! Well done.

They are located in the overlander magazine.....They are nothing spectacular:D Just pics of some of the D3's and the people that did a Land Rover training weekend from the landrover club of sydney..supported by landrover themselves.
