The theme for Photo Comp #11 is.....
PANORAMIC
Rules:
1. Photo must at a minimum have an AR of 2:1
2. Photo must be taken within the last 12 months.
3. Photo must be taken by the poster.
4. Post Processing allowed and encouraged.
There are no restrictions on how you create your shot, it can be stitched, cropped, or a combination of both.
For hints on how to take and make panoramas check out Derek's useful post here (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/camera-corner/69266-how-taking-panoramas.html).
Uploading starts today and ends on the 10th May...voting will commence from Mon 11th and will end on the following Thurs.
Please feel free to discuss the photo's that are submitted BUT DO NOT Quote using the picture.....we dont want to see 5 of the same picture just because people have quoted and not taken out the picture link please upload your photo here. Posts that are not directly relevant to the pictures submitted will be deleted. Happy snapping.

The photo is of the outlet of the Moore Park creek in low tide.

just to make it interesting the car going through was still under full race speed as the marshals were extremely slow to respond

I'm going to sneak this one in. It was taken 12 months ago tomorrow (4-May-2008) so under the rules it fits if I post it today (3-May-2009);)
7 shots D200 + 70-200 @200mm f/14. Each shot is 20 second exposure. Stitched in Photoshop.

I would suggest that anyone wanting to post very wide images does what I have and links to them from a smaller version.

Beach pano - ile aux Cerfs, Mauritius. Formatted for a wide screen monitor so if you are viewing on a 4:3 monitor you will have to scroll horizontally to see it all.

This is Buffalo Creek near Darwin in February this year. Its about 8 images stitched I think (taken in portrait). Early morning.
