Hi
Thought I should introduce myself. I'm new to the site and being a Land Rover owner. Bought the new FL 2 TD 4 last week and love it!
Look forward to chatting :)

It might be a baby landy, but it can go 99% of the places a disco can.
I have a 04 TD4 manual with number plates "GRSSHOPPR". :p
yep, it's green in colour and gets over some good size rocks.
W.A. landrover club gets out now and again. Keep a look out.
Nice to have another freebe here in W.A. :)
Take care
Bruce

Hey guys
Thanks for the welcome!
I notice most of you guys call it a "Freebe" well in my view there was nothing 'free' about it and logically she's the baby of Landy family???
Hence "Baby Landy" (must be a girl thing:cool:)
Thanks for the tip Bruce, I will keep an eye out for trips. Planning to do Wedge June long weekend.
Cheers Pauline.

Ah yes, my dear wife has decided to see what all the fuss is about and got herself a Landrover. Methinks I've created a monster ...............

No doubt I'll now be making up bits and pieces for the FL2 as well - she already wants rock sliders, side-steps, front guard. No rest for the wicked .....

Cheers,

Gordon

Um no, good as the FL2 is, I'm still hoping to replace the old steed with another D3. But insurance are taking their time making up their minds ....

Cheers,

Gordon

Have you made any mods to yours to take it where you have? I have exactly the same model and year....

Hi Matplat.
No mods, just over size tyres.
Running Bridgestone Dueler A/T 225/75R15C.
Find they give me a bit more clearance and they have a chunky tread.
A bit noisey when stopping but a good ride.

Bruce

These were taken last weekend, Baby Landy's 1st off road trip. We took her up to Wilbinga beach...it was great fun. Baby Landy handled the tracks and sand really well...Gordon showed me how to use the various features (this is my 1st Land Rover, I wasn't allowed to drive the D3:)) I'm REALLY impressed! anyway I think I did alright for my 1st time DRIVING off road!

Look out Gordon, I might just start entering those comps after all - lol:angel:

Welcome :)

I found the 19 inch shoes are poor offroad. They dont bag at all. :(

Got myself a set of 17 inch shoes with AT 235/65 and what a huge difference! :D

Hope to see you at on a trip
