I am making a fitting to allow a compression test and also to pressuries the cylinder for doing valve stem seals. Can anyone tell me the diameter and pitch/thread of the glow plugs.

To do a compression test you need a diesel compression tester. This will have fittings to enable it to be inserted and bolted down into an injector port.
To change the valve stem seals, remove rocker train. With glow plugs out, bring number one piston to top, checking for escaping air to determine when. Pushrods from number four will also be on the overlap of exhaust to inlet. Use valve spring compressor to remove valve springs. The Piston will prevent the valve from dropping down. You will not damage the piston or the valve as you are not pressing down on the valve. The piston is only there to prevent the valve from dropping out. This process requires you to use the style of valve spring compressor that grips the spring down the bottom, and pulls this up towards the top retaining plate. This works similiar to a coil spring compressor used for suspension springs. I bought mine from ABW, but I have seen them in a different brand stocked by Sprint Auto Parts for a lesser amount. This assumes that you have the cup style seals, if you have an early engine with the o-ring style seals, you must take the head off.
