Did you read some of the conditions?
The Britt Government, wanted to select the CEO of the Jaguar Land Rover board and then they wanted half of the loan returned to the Chancellery by way of tax payments.
It was at least blackmail and at worst a new round of nationalising by stealth. We know what happened the last time the Britt Government nationalised the car industry - we ended up with British Leyland.
I wouldn't blame Tata for moving JLR to better shores.

As Diana said, the govt killed off the Brit car industry once, now they're trying to do it again.
They really do operate with their heads up their asses. What a ridiculous set of conditions. They're lucky TATA didnt pack everything up and ship off to India originally, most others would of.
