I do care about the earth - what's wrong with getting the thing tuned so that is doesn't spew out that enormous cloud of carcinogenic particulate matter?

Its a very capable machine, and I like good machinery. But there's no excuse for having it running like that.

Diesels produce best power when tuned like that (et the expense of egts and engine life).

Look at any tractor pull or drag racing diesel.

I just reckon that if we want to keep using our machines we need to take looking after the earth seriously. You can have just as much fun with a clean running diesel. Are those guys that full of their own importance that they have to spew out clouds of carcinogens just to get that last nth of power?:(

We can have the fun without wrecking the environment.
