D2a- Options?

What mechanical options were available for the D2a?

2nd aircon type ones,,
did they all come out with 18's?
there are generic lists on places like carpoint,,

would like to know what else was available.

I would have one and was planning on one with the full leather etc...but thinking I might go to a D3 now when the time comes:)

Coils on base (5 seater) or factory optioned with ACE and SLS
3rd row seats on all but base
2nd and 3rd row A/C options std on HSE
18's on HSE and SE but 16's on base model and S
One's with 18's came with flares
Can't remember much else from when I bought mine in 2003.

My parents have just thought almost the exact same thing. They were looking at a 2003-04 Td5 and spending around $25k and getting a pretty damn decent one, but came to the decision that 1) its not twice the car my 300tdi D1 is so they'd be better off spending $10k, doing a few mods and pocketing the difference, or 2) spend a bit more and get a TDV6 D3 which for what they want really would be worth the extra and they've not really had any problems to speak of...

In your situation I'd be pretty seriously thinking about saving/spending the little bit extra and go a D3... you know you want to... ;)

We bought a 2nd hand 2a disco last year, its like this

April 2004 build
TD5
Classic, that is the only badging on it, not even TD5 on the rear door
silver colour with black leather and carpet
5 seats,
aircon only up front
no sun roof(s)
No airbag suspension
No corner control stuff
two boxes in the rear filling the cut outs where the seats would be (REALLY useful)
18" 5 spoke alloys (changed to 16" steel rims)
black plastic wheel arch trim and along the sides
roof bars
stainless steel spare wheel cover with plastic disk

think thats all.

The earlier of the D2a,or MY03 build was similar spec as earlier D2,changed dash layout,CDL returned,pocket lights,minor engine changes for slightly more torque in auto models,etc.
Later and the runout MY03 had as above & also were sold as CLASSIC,either town or country,cant remember exact specs.Mine was a town,had 18'' wheels,mats,leather seats, spare wheel cover (plastic)...cant remember what else.Ithink the country had seat covers,gps,& possibly there things,but cant remember.....

Through the D2 years,they were available in petrol or diesel,either as 5 seater,that was all coil sprung & rear fold up seats replaced with storage bins,or 7 seater with rear air suspension.
Rear A/C,& sunroof was option on these models.HSE was also available ,it was 7 seater,with sunroof,full leather ,woodgrain dash,rear a/c,etc.Maybe also armrests.Platnum model also appearedfor a while,i think similar spec to HSE.
