Hello peeps
I have just changed to mozilla....and in doing so thought WOW how bloody fast is it...until now its like the same speed as IE starting to wonder if they have alternating on and off peak times :D.
Even so I'm getting used to it and I like its little add ons
one question though...when I used IE I had ispell to fall back on, now there is nothing for me to do a spell check and I can't afford to get forum bashed over it again:o:p
Now I thought I read somewhere that firefox automatically checks spelling! but if this is correct its not doing mine. is there something somewhere I need to tick?

Tools>add-ons>Get add-ons>browse all add-ons.
Or just google firefox dictionary.
Here 'tis -
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3
There's an English (Australian) dictionary.
While you're at it, Adblockplus and all-in-one gestures.

Go to your Tools -> options -> Content and make sure you have the languages installed.
You may want to add British English from the Tools -> add ons and download the applet for free.

Thanks people I have downloaded the dictionaries.....It still doesn't correct it for me just highlights in red when the word is wrong. Does that sound right
I wouldn't be asking except it keeps highlight red when I use an apostrophe like in wouldn't

Right click underlined word and it should offer spelling suggestions in the pop up menu.

No Script is a good addition for security too.
Once you've used FF, you'll never go back to IE :D

You are in the middle of entering text using a word that you know is correct, but not in the computer's dictionary, then software corrects it to a word it does have in it's dictionary. What is particularly frustrating is when it incorrectly changes capitals.

If you are positive the word is correct & it has a red underscore right clicking will give you the option of adding to dictionary for when that word is used next time. I haven't worked out the caps thing yet & alter those if necessary.

I think the comment is for when apps like Word auto correct your spelling of words like capitalise to capitalize. No red underscore, it just goes and does it.
