Gallery Uploads

Is any one having trouble uploading pics to the gallery ?

I've just dropped Inc a PM but then thought maybe it's just me.

Doesn't seem to matter whether I use Firefox or IE the gallery tells me its uploaded but I am not able to process or see the pics. THe auto redirect comes back with a blank page with no content.

Have had same prob for a while have a gallery with nothing in it thought it was me stuffing up;)

i updated it to the latest version of the software this morning.

i never have a problem with it myself, but i always run pics i am going to upload thru irfanview or similar to knock them back to web quality @ 1024 x 768 before i upload.

The pic just has to be viewable.....

you don't have to upload a high res Image to the gallery if that's what you mean just need to have the hi res image available should your picture get choosen.

Obvioulsy the picture uploaded needs to be big enough to view or might not get picked just because it can't be viewed well enough for sharpness etc

Smaller file doesn't seem to help either, just tried to upload a 140k file, with the same result - a blank white screen.

I wonder though whether the previous failed attempts may have some bearing. The gallery says I have 2 pics in the queue that need to be processed however I am unable to process them.

Same problem for me too. Also doesn't matter if I try here or at work.

you have space left in the gallery? not exceeded any quota or ?

check your stats in the gallery..

logs show nothing that could be deciphered as being a problem.

the blank page is indicitive that it is a problem PHP cant decipher.

i will toggle the image processor on the gallery server if i can and see if that has any effect..

i just uploaded a whole series of different types of pics, biggest being 2mb in size and had no issues...

but i always could...

Hmmm,Just had a go,works for me in new folder.:)

Cleared the cache
cleared cookies,
cleared browsing history
cleared form and search history

Still the same


my gallery won't allow me to create a new album
"Sorry, Personal Albums are not enabled"

and can't upload to any existing album

Stats are
Disk space allowed - unlimited
Disk space used - 34,809,891kb (34809891 bytes)
Images in your queue - 2

Gallery profile says
161 photos
disk space used 29.3mb

i have enabled the flash uploader addon in the gallery

it selects and uploads files differently.

you use the windows browse and select functions as you would in windows explorer and it handles the uploads.. the you hit the upload / process button when flash has loaded them all.

you need adobe flash installed...

let me know...

ps if it still thinks you have two files in your que then you havent cleared all the cookies for aulro.com.... you can do that easily by logging out of the site, closing and restarting the browser and logging back in ( in a perfect world )

did you get the fancy blue lines as files uploaded?

Tried that and also clearing them from within Firefox

Aulro reports no cookies, but still indicated 2 files wating to be processed.

With the new upload method I get the blue lines as it uploads but still end up with a blank page with this address. ( I have to click the 'select file for upload' button twice)

I just logged in as another user and was able to upload my photo without any probs.

Which means the problem is in the software... bugger!

Numpty can't upload photos either :(

Has anybody found a cure i still have photo,s to upload but still get the blank screen or told i am not registered:confused:

INC i managed to get them to upload to members gallery but not into my album, said i was not registered and had no profile, but thats better than i could get before.

the my album problem is a cookie problem of another type

not really sure thats something i can do anything about at my end..

Will keep muddling along thanks at least they uploaded to galleries anyway:D
