Someone was asking about led lights for trailers...

Not sure if this is the right place but. (mods shift as appropriate)

the downside is that they are only good to 15v so no using them on trucks.

I just finished using these exact brand lights to repair my mum's '97 D1. She had a mangled rear bumper and I found an early D1 bumper on ebay, sans taillight holes. Added these LED lights to the lightless bumper and it looks great.

Although it might be a captain obvious comment, these are the lights produced by the Australian company that spend a great deal of money overthrowing the Asians who produced a fake version of poor quality.

Good on them:cool:.

If I had a need for a set, I'd buy them on principle.

I bought a set of the 2nd pic from Autobarn last year for the boat trailer. Paid a tad more than 58 bucks.

They're good quality, nice an bright I'm happy with them. They have a short length of wire which I soldered and heat shrank together for a nice water tight seal. Hopefully they'll last because the back of the boat trailer is tough on lights with being submerged in salt water all the time.

Oh should mention D3, FL2 and I think new RR owners should be aware that the LED Indicator lights will blink due to some trailer sensing circut that LR have employed.

There are kits that can be bought to get around the problem or a simple circuit can be made up to stop the blinking .

I have been running these lights for about a year on my trailer and camper van.
No problems so far.
I have noticed the local trailer manufacturer is fitting this brand as standard.
I think the only thing that may go wrong with them is over many years the UV rays could fade the plastic.
Compared to replacing blown globes and rusted globe contacts on my old lights I would take these any day.
They are bright enough to wake up the drivers behind you.
LED brand also make number plate and clearence lights too.
Much cheaper than Hella and Narva brands.

I recomment Multivolt LED's where possible.
I specced my box trailer with Multivolts as my Nissan Civilian Bus is 24 volt.
