we took the mother in law for a guided tour of the opera house, all my mum got was the flag on the flagpole out the front at half mast.

I spent most of the day trying to hang out with Mum but Dad just doesn't get these things and I spent most of the time trying to politely fend him off as all he wanted to do was pore over maps, show off his latest computer club stuff and tell me long "interesting" stories.

I probably got to spend less than half an hour with my Mother:mad:

Next time I will go up the day before unannounced as he has most of every Sat in his computer club so I will get her to myself, and vice-versa.
