I hope there are plans to include an international section on this type of thread at some stage.
In the meantime, it is interesting (but not at all surprising) how the Land Rover distribution over Australia (% figures above) is trending with the proportionality of the population by state. Although there are subtle differences. Popoulation stats (below) were taken from Aust Bureau of Stats 3101.0 - Australian Demographic Statistics, Sep 2008 (http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/mf/3101.0/) and then calculated out to a percentage. Not significant just an interesting bit of saturday morning trivia.
NSW 32.6%
Victoria 24.8%
Tasmania 2.3%
Queensland 20.1%
South Australia 7.5%
Western Australia 10.2%
Australian Capital Territory 1.6%
Northern Territory 1.0%

Oh, and I thought the magazine was good reading.
How about adding a section on the history of each type of Landy. A few pics and a few pars from some suitable book, plus a list of recommended further reading. Could interest people (or not, if they already know it, I suppose. Just a thought...).

Pretoria, South Africa.
I had a brainless moment:wasntme: and only realised that the poll only lists Australian districts and thus voted at the SA button.
I would be interested too in how many other countries are involved with you forum.
From previous threads there is somebody in Cape Town too.

Inc the admin occasionally posts up stats and they show that the site gets hits from real people from all corners of the world, and they are fairly high.
I'll try and dig a link up.

Queensland is definitely the Land Rover capital of Oz judging by these figures. I wonder why that is? Maybe we're more individualistic up here and less conned by Jap 4WD propaganda.

I wonder if it is related to the fact that Qld is the only state (or territory, I think) where less than half the population lives in the capital?

Was amazing though yesterday me and my house mates took a day off to relax (haha as us uni students do) and we didnt think much of the rain then we turn on the 6 oclock news and bloody half of Brisbane is under water, it was crazy, there were pictures of like the next suburb over, the cars were underwater and theres ses everywhere saving people, and here we were just going oh... wernt even effected haha.
Thinking about driving around in the disco now and charging people to tow their cars out of the water ;)

We have only 165 mm here in Moore Park Beach, so no dramas.
The consolation for the people in Brisis is that in Brazil there are 340000 people which lost their house due to the intensity of the rain

I think we need to pull up our collective redneck socks and be more like America - after all look how well they are doing.
So stop picking on the Mexicans -Ay!:p
