Saw a full page add in The Land newspaper titled 'We're Back' and advertising a full range of 110 and 130 Defenders - 110 s/w, 110 crew cab, 110 hardtop, 110 high cap pick up, 110 & 130 cab chas and 130 crew cab cab chas, and 130 crew cab high cap pickup. Nothing on L/R website but rang the dealer and he said it is happening.

I can confirm. The dealer spilled the beans on this a couple of months ago to me. He said it was top secret as he was trying to delay my purchase as he could not get me into an SVX. It didn't work!:)

They are also going to have some new sort or air suspension so the thing can go up & down and up & down...then go break and off to the Dealership for a rest! You can probably tell I would not be a fan of this suspension but will wait to see how it goes for a few years to prove itself before I totally write it off. Just so many problems with Rangies and Discos with the air suspension...

Well something is up with the Land Rover Australia website as the "Defender" button on the side now shows a picture of a 90. There is also a message saying that some links are changed.

Yes, the 110 & 130 are still the only models when you go to the Defender tab at the top, but if you mouse over the Defender button at the side of the homepage a picture of a 90 shows up. Then if you use one of those links to go to specifications you get a message about the changed links.

Dear Paul

Thank you for contacting Land Rover Australia

It is true that we are releasing the 110 Hardtop and Crew Cab Defender to Australia, Unfortunately we are not reintroducing the Defender 90. For more information on the new range of Defender’s please talk to your local dealership and they will be able to answer any questions.

Once again thank you for contacting Land Rover Australia

I love the 110 dual cab, and the tomb raider version is the sexiest of them all!

Oh that's absolutely brilliant.
Why has it taken so long? Lets hope they sell a few more so that it brightens up the landscape and leaves more on the secondhand market for me to choose from.

The thing is though, what are they doing advertising in "The Land" when the people who read it have to travel half way across the country to find one of the few remaining city dealerships? Those people will keep on buying Toyotas from the dealership in their nearest town.

I just saw the ad today. Why do all the trayback ones look so strange?
