After seeing all the threads regarding the fittment of a Pre-07 Milford Cage to a Puma I thought I'd post details on how I did mine.

The first problem I had was that none of the dimensions provided by the Milford instructions really match the Puma model. This has been mainly caused by the middle seats being bigger and more laid back than the TD5 model. So first thing I did was remove the plastic latch surround on the deck (Fig1), who needs this anyway... This allows the bottom of the cage to be fitted back at 900mm from the back door.

The measurement for the top mount of the cage from the A Pillar doesn't work either and the best I managed,l ined up directly with the over head handle (note: I have the seven seater). Which makes the brackets supplied in the kit useless... To overcome this I made up my own custom brackets which pick-up a set of existing roof bolt holes (Fig2), which was very convient as I wasn't so keen to bore a new of holes in my 110.

Finally putting all the surrounds back on the bracket neatly fits and between the surround and overhead hand grab (Fig3).

The whole set up feels extremely ridgid and makes no noise or rattle... Next project is to fit my air compressor beneath the bonnet, I'm thinking passenger side fire wall, alongside the cabin blower unit...
