Hi all,
Just a quick q. Has anyone else had a prob with the roof lining falling down. Mine is mainly around where the sunroofs would be.

If so how did u fix it?

Mine was sagging, and it was annoying the crap out of me. I took it to a trimmer who have done a lot of roof linings and got it fixed for about $300. Looks great now and very happy with it, they used better glue and thicker velour, so it will stay on better.

Cheers
Hendrik

Hendrik, who did you use, being a Brisbane southside boy.

Also was the cost including them removing and replacing or did you remove it yourself?

Thanks
Danny

I got it done at a place in Rochlea, can't quite remember the name, could be ALL CAR MOTOR TRIMMING or something among those lines. Really good guys to deal with, Ill look up my old receipts and see if I can find the name. The price included stripping, fitting everything, and took about 3hrs to complete.
Cheers
Hendrik

I have the same problem but haven't done anything to fix it. Maybe I could fit a sunroof.... ;)

yup now call Nyanda High.

Nyanda State High School (http://www.aa-education.com/nyanda-state-high-school/)

Check it out, next to the train station.

I use to service the photocopiers there. I knew it as Salisbury High as use to play sport against them. I'm a MacGregor boy.

Mine was sagging on the D1 too. Just went to the hardware and got a bag of the little grey (to match hoodlining) plastic screw cover doohickies; you know the ones that have a little opaque donut that goes under the screw head, with a coloured 'dome' that clips on the top. Put screws through the hoodlining in the corners of the sunroof cutout. Doesn't look too bad with those little grey covers on....FWIW.

There is a guy at the top end of Moss st who is very good,on a corner, opposite the welding place,BOC agent.
Have never taken a Landy to him,but have had him do things on other vehicles.
He recons he does over 300 hood linings on commodores a year:eek:

I think he is the one who advertises in the local paper, a mate had his done at Capalaba but I didn't like the colour (he went grey carpet) and he helped and paid $300. (so called mates rates)

Moi? Never!

I've just arrived in Crescent City, California after a very nice drive through the redwood forests. Down to SFO tomorrow to annoy others at the RR.net forum get-together this weekend.

I had that guy in Moss St do my Falcon wagon and it was a good job, and cheap. He looks like an old stoner and the place is a bit of a tip, but the work was good. He is in the building where the tint place was.
