Have been kicking around the classifieds and have noticed that in the adverts for a few TD5 110, people are indicating that they have replaced the clutch and/or had the gearbox rebuilt/reconditioned around 100,000 – 120,000k’s.
It goes without saying that driving styles are unique and impact on the wear of such components. Items such clutches wear overtime and will inevitably require replacing, however 100,000-120,000k’s appears like a short shelf life between gearbox rebuilds. Is it therefore fair to assume that the vehicle has not had an easy life?
I am interesting in hearing your thoughts.
