Found this site recently and it seems a pretty good source for finding decent free software in various categories...

Its not full of dodgy adds or spyware etc... seems to list decent real freeware... just to save those painful google searches when you're looking for a bit of software to do something and you have to filter out a million dodgy ones...

Another is gaotd.com ( give away of the day)
They offer a free download of a program for 24 hrs.... They provide the licence key. These are normally proggies that you have to pay for. Sort of developers gauging public appeal. Every day is something new
