On my Landrover Defender Td5 County Station Wagon 110 (year 2005) I have just fitted new Michelin LTX A/T 2 tyres (LT 235/85R16 120R). (The treads are different from the earlier LTX A/T.)

What pressures (front and back) and FULLY LOADED and NOT LOADED should these be run at? The LR handbook says “rear @ 48 psi” but this seems wrong.

thats about what I run day to day but I up em and down em as needed

more if Im going to be going faster on good roads or carrying more weight.

less as the road degrades or if Im going to be running slower.

tyre temps and handling characteristics will let you dial in what you need.

So you'd sometimes be running the rear tyres at over 50 psi. That seems quite high, I think.

Considering my 110 is placarded at up to 65 in the rear (fully loaded and at sustained speeds above 120kph) it does not seem high to me!

I run the 255/85s in my 110 at about 46psi all round. (Unladen).
