I'm in LA and I've never seen so many L322 and RRS! They are everywhere. There are that many that they have no exclusivity like in Australia! :(

'Tis also surprising to hear big Nissans (bigger than the Patrol) with burbling V8 engines! They sound great. :) :)

I travelled passenger down from San Fran in a V8 RRS (no diesels here). Gawd, that was a sweet ride. We had a get-together at the ranch owned by the Rangerovers.net forum owner. A bloke had driven up from LA to meet me and to drive me back! Another had flown in from Atlanta to meet me, too! Others had driven in from around SFO. I was truly amazed and touched by this.

The Americans have been absolutely fantastic everywhere I have been over the past 3 weeks. Now, if they can learn to make tea and coffee....... :D

It is nice to see that you have good times and there is a lot of hospitality among the LR/RR US community.
Now will be pay back time when they come to visit Oz ;)

In my experience Americans are extremely hospitable people.

All of our friends over there love having people to stay and love showing people around their area.

Oh...... and its much easier if you don't think of it as coffee, its just a different kind of drink unique to North America.

You can have some coffee when you get home.

Some friends just got back from their first trip to US - they couldn't speak highly enough of the hospitality. The coffee & the beer ... now that's another story.

I hear that Corona's are poor mans/student's beer over there - very cheap. Doesn't bother me in the slightest if that is the case hahaha

Did you snap any piccy while you were over there?

Glad to see that you didn't let the side down and you wore your stubbies.
I always understood that a :a sweet ride: was when the local MC club sold lollies for charity :o
It must be time to come home ......you're starting to talk strangely.:lol2:

I had beers at some micro-breweries. They also sold it in real pints (20 oz, not US pints of 16 oz).

Pics? Several thousand. I'll bore the socks off my wife when I get back home.

Talking in character, Peter.

The day that pic was taken I was getting a bit of flak over being the only person in shorts. Dunno why, it was merely cool (about 12 deg C), not cold.

Truly, the coffee is appalling. The hotels/motels don't provide any milk for a cuppa (nor tea) - they have a corn syrup whitener that's gross. You need to take your own tea. There is often no way to boil water, merely heat it to a tepid state in their ubiquitous drip coffee machines.

Bacon is cooked to a crisp - everywhere. They seem to like it that way. Pancakes come with eggs and sausage. Servings are large!
