Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if my 2009 Defender should have a Steering Damper fitted?

My feeling is, it should, but it doesn't???

THanks,

Dave.

My 08MY has one. Are you sure there's not a black shockie lying horizontally across the front of the vehicle?

Aren't they usually yellow? ;)

Not the genuine ones. OME or Billstein would be yellow.

Thank you for that. :p;)

It had me thinking that if I had owned a Rangie or a Disco (as I have) and went looking for the steering damper (regardless of the colour) on a Defender I would be looking in the wrong place. And if it was cunningly camouflaged in "night fighter black" behind the steering protector bar and not behind the front axle where mischief can happen then I could be mistaken for thinking that LR had forgotten something. :D

I am dead certain. I know what they look like, but it's not there.

I'll submit a pic, when I can take one.

Well take it back to the dealer - they all (should) have them fitted.
