I have a Waeco slide,we're just doing a long travelling stint with it and it seems very good. Well the wife likes it anyway.
The one advertised there would have a bit of an advantage if you were stretched for space height wise, but there's probably not much in it.
The Waeco slide has upturned edges to stop the fridge sliding too far if the straps come loose.
The slimline one does have a full piece of sheetmetal as a top surface, the Waaco only has metal about 200mm from each end. This creates a gap that means a smaller fridge might fall through.
I think the Waeco roller/slides are rated at 100kg- whatever, they look very strong. I see the slimline are rated at 80kg.
The Waeco locks in both open and closed positions like this one.
The Waeco is about $50 cheaper ( well mine was ).
The Waeco seems quite heavy - but don't know if it's more than 14kg of the slimline one.

Thanks Wayne

I need to do some measuring tomorrow.
I would like to leave the slide fitted and deploy the rear seats in my 04 Discovery

Hi, I made my own slide, modeled it on the Waeco as thats the only one I've ever seen, got the slides from Bunnings, i just folded some 2.0mm sheet metal up to suit the size of the fridge and bolted it to thu the holes that were in the slides. total cost, about 3 Hrs and $60 for the slides.
Any sheet metal shop should be able to do folding.
I'm in NZ, and the price for a slide to suit a CF40 was in the region of $350. It just made sense to have a go myself, it's not hard, and So'oo much more satisfying than just shelling out the $$.

I'm NZ also and wanted to do a similar thing but Bunnings didn't seem to have slides that were big enough. Did you use slides with ball races?

Cheers, LandieMan

See if you can source pics of the Engel 60/80lt slide. It uses sealed bearings rather than the loose bearings some use.
SO EASY TO COPY/BUILD YOUR OWN.
I have one but its not possible to take pics of it in my setup.
I bought it because for the $280 I didnt think I could I could replicate it for the money.I have all the gear and can use it,I reckognised the work gone into it and coughed up the $$$$:cool::cool::cool:
WORKS A TREAT!!!

I'm in Taupo, Bunnings had to order the slides in, , they have an extension of about 600mm and a load rating of 40kg each I think, they cost about $25-30.00 each, well worth it I think. We fit it to the truck when ever we go away for a while. I just checked, as I have a spare set in the shed, put aside for a set of drawers, they are brand name 'Hettich' code KA4932 if I remember correctly. PM me if you want, I should be able to figure out how to send you a photo. The whole job was really a piece of cake.
Regards, Jack :)
