Thanks to all who were on the Trip.
We meet up at the official Day Trip start time of 9am at the usual spot at the Coomera BP.
After finding Stikman loitering on the side of the road we hit the creek on the southern end of the State Forest.
And several hours later we emerged from the other end after doing the Tea Cup and some of us doing the bottom of the Bum Crack.
Very technical track and never easy, but very rewarding.
Great morning, would you believe that we survived a trip to Ormeau with nil damage. Yeah :p

Cheryl excelled with the camera, so many great shots so I put them all up.

If you have driven a Nissan up the Bum Crack lately, I found your muffler.

Great shots Cheryl.
Was a great day out with a good bunch of people. I think a rear bar design session as Garry suggested will be on the cards. Already got mine 3/4 designed;) Spare wheel still needs a new retro design.
Will have to stick the Rangy on the hoist and see how the underside held up after a few hard landings:cool:

Thanks again folks for a fun day

Great pics, good to see the Rangies out on the tracks again to give those bloody Discos a run for there money (or lack of :D)

Whilts you lot were having fun up at Ormeau, I was lifting lots of heavy **** the joys of moving house but still had the trip in spirit, the spirirt to be back out there giving the dunga a belting as usual :twisted::twisted:

Still have another weekends shifting to do but will be in a better place with a hell of a lot more room for more Rangies (have another one arrving late June, bring on Project Dunga Mk II).

Bloody oath I was, anything is better than moving house but certain things have to be done so a bit of short term pain for looong term gain

I'll be out of action for a month or so but I'll live.

Thanks for the Pics and Video Gary, and thanks for a good morning out to all that attended.

Was good to go Tea Cup again and was keen to find the Bum Crack and have a look......well it is pretty full on  I think i need to stretch the chassis a couple of inchs, put an external cage and rear bar on, chuck some biggers tyres on and go have a another crack  I can almost get the rear door to open again after bending the rear bar about 4inchs up on left hand corner :( For the standard bar it has done OK copping 3yrs of abuse. Time for something new, and soon.

Good group of people and some more great driving......a typical morning out with the GCLRO :)

Thanks all for a great day out - it was good to have a quick but challenging run to test out the Ute set up. Just want a bit mroe of this now.

Need to build the diff lock experience up so learn the tricks and where the truck will go. Found the bits that got caught (rear lights, exhaust etc) that will get a trim and rearrangement so that less vulnerable for future runs. Also suspension lift but we havea good start as is.

Some tyres with tread might be good as well as shocks and springs that are not nackered. But went well for a cheap set up. Although water on the rocks showed that sometimes you just have to have a winch.

Stickman - yes I think a disco Ute is the go - you clearly do not like panels so give them the flick. There must be a market for a kit to quickly cut a disco down and get engineered and registered.

Will have to load pictures and video later.
