How did you cut the aluminium to shape? I went to an aluminium place and they reckoned they could not cut that shape, and that a jigsaw wouldn't either.
I'm sure my jigsaw would have with the right blade, personally.

Angle grinder mate with a 1mm cutting disc. You just need for them to cut it to the over all shape and hit the rest with the grinder.

tried to get something similar laser cut once and they wouldn't do it.
... something about the ally reflecting back the laser and it destroying the lens

you would need an industrial laser cutter..... and it has to be treated before cutting. We can etch onto metal with ours but only with special tape.... (laser bonds the tape to the metal). You can etch very easily onto anodised aluminuim and also onto glass. Have done both very successfully. Cuts most things very well too..... but not metal.
I'd go for the grinder too.
Have you put in a sub somewhere else?
Looks sweet man.....

l took my speakers out after wanting to build the draws...have a hole there now and I'm a little hesitant to cover it until all possible use options are exhausted ;)

I suppose if you cant think of anything just but a piece of check plate over it and cover it up.At least you can keep the old trim if you want to sell the car.

a jigsaw does cut aluminium (we do it all the time). :D You just need to keep the material and blade cool, otherwise the blade clogs up. Best way is with water! :p and keep the speed down:cool:

Actually i didnt use the clips there was to much crap in behind the panel,so i went with rivets. And the spare tyre "just" fits, its pretty much sitting on the rear bumper.I think with a new rear bar, which wont sit out as far as the original it will clear it.So ive got all those bolts and clips here if you can think of something to put them on lol.
