Interested for sure but details? How is it different from 4X4 intelligence kits?
Simple... I was the original designer/manufacturer of SLS kits in Australia.
A gent from 4x4 intelligence purchased one of my kits. He happened to work in a 'Rapid Fab' type shop. He duplicated my product, changed a couple of items, then sent mine back for a refund.
Shortly thereafter, the 4x4 Intel... Kit appeared on the market.
Difference... Mine are original, not a knock off..:(
Mine are made from the same alloy, but I use Stainless for the extension plates etc.... Not coated mild steel...
Note: the locking plate is steel, by design requirement, but all other plates are SS.

Sorry Toombie for hitting a nerve, ouch!
Please contact me when you are ready to roll them out.

Other main difference is Price...
Mine are 'Made by an enthusiast, for an enthusiast'...
I make mine for the fun, and for the benefit of other LR owners.
YES, I make a $ or $$, but not a viable amount....
I also have done a lot of product testing, and believe my kit offers handy benefits. Including a choice of lift height - 30mm or 50mm... depends on front lift fitted.
I shall post a pic tomorrow... Need to take one of the new batch...

Its ok John... Its all good!!
Its one of those 'hard to forget' things that happened to me...
I actually stopped selling kits for ages because I was so annoyed!
Anyway... The good news is... The Kits are ready to ship now...
My new workshop is up and just need to concrete, move in the machinery and hoist etc... And then I'll start making more of my gear!!!

And as promised... A Pic of the kit...

Tombie,
Could you please give me some more details on this. Do I need to install a lift kit, or is it designed to give me more lift at the rear "at the push of a button".
That sort of thing.
Cheers & keep up the good work.

it will give you more lift at the rear at the push of a button....think matchbox hotrod....or dragster push bike:angel:..BUT its designed to be used in conjunction with 30 or 50mm lifted front springs.

OK guys, I'm getting the posts...
Just 24 hours to finish my rotation and I'll sit at home and reply directly to you all...
I think the first 5 kits may be gone now, the other 5 are just having the base plates skimmed... So less than a week away...

Ever thought about adding a spacer for the front springs to, so the whole kit is there to lift the truck ?
Like here ?

Is that mean the the car is still level if we have lifted front spring? and higher rear (than lifted front) if we push the button?

G'Day Tombie,
I am interested in grabbing one of these 50mm SLS spacer kits off you. From all of posts here and what I've read on AURLO, sounds like a great addition to the green turtle!
Please send a PM so we can arrange dollars and delivery.
Thanks

Hey Dylan,
Yeah, in the same boat mate, considering toddco suspensions in US for a 2" kit. The green turtle has been playing the sagging game on the right side for some months intermittently (leak from the usual place where the bag rolls). Replacement bags from Paddocks UK.

Danny

Old thread, but rather than starting another one, are sls spacer kits available in Australia? Can only find them overseas

les Richmond automotive in Vic do them. Unsure if tombie still
Does??

Yeah, looked on les Richmond site but seems to do everything except the sls air bag spacer, unless I'm missing something

If you are replacing the bags as well I recommend going with Boss bags. That way you won't need the spacers and get higher lift if needed.

ah cool, it does both. Thanks
So it looks like I would need;
Rear 50mm spacer $55 x2
Rear bump stop drop $58 x2
SLS height increase kit $70 (x2???)
front 50mm spacer $55 x2
front shocks - not required as spacer lifts shocks and springs
Rear shocks - 2" lifted x2 $????
Front and rear brake line extensions $?????

hmm, seems like Les Richmond have enough customers already, as they've not responded to my multiple requests for a quotation to buy $100's of kit off them (and then potentially take my Disco there for future work). Typical of customer service over here unfortunately, I'll probably order overseas instead.

Hi D2lee I have just posted my D2 2 inches. I just installed 2 inch springs in the front and reset the rear with the nanocom. It has still got enough moment in every thing. Already had +2 shocks so only needed front springs. I will need to go to 4 inch eventually that is when I'll get the 4 inch kit from LRA. I would give them a call as I have had work email issues myself at late. Could be as simple as to why u haven't had a reply.

I can't find your thread on that, please can you link.
So you used nanocom to raise the rear? I guess that's what the dash button does anyway for off-roading. Did you disable it now, as that could damage the bags?

Sorry was supposed to say lifted not posted. I haven't had any issues with the extra 2 inches of lift not the standard bags. I have also used the off-road mode couple of times. My shocks will limit my down ward travel so shouldn't be at risk of blowing a bag. Yes I used the nanocom to adjust the height and then saved the new settings I think I actually went 60mm in the end not 50 to match the new springs in the front. I will do 2 inch spacers and extended bumper stops when I go 4 inch tho. But that's a while off cause I will have to do castor as well. Let me know if u have anymore questions happy to help
