Hi,

I am new to the forum, long time reader first time poster. I am looking at purchasing a D3 TDV6 SE with rear air and was wondering whether you guys could give me a heads up on a competitive price that should be achievable in Sydney. I have been told mid to late 70's. Is this a good ballpark or should I be pushing harder.

Thanks in advance,
Ash

This seems to be around the mark, you can probably get in a few accessories for a couple of G below the 80 mark.

Thanks for the response. Which accesories should i get?

I was thinking:
Rubber mats
Tow hitch
Window Tint
Mudflaps (not sure if they are required)

Anything i have missed?

Anything i have missed?Do a bit of research here on the tow hitch. The genuine one drags the ground easily & is a little too low for some peoples liking. The Mitchell Bros hitch seems popular.

Check the window tint prices. The dealer will sublet this out anyway.

Mudflaps, check on here again. I'm not sure about the current accessory flaps LR sell but the early standard fitment rears were prone to cracking. There was a D3 in at work today with home made rubber sheet mudflaps that looked the part.

Do NOT buy the standard LR hitch. Get the Mitchell Bros hitch.

Tinting is most probably cheaper aftermarket.

I'd just get the cheapest price rather than accessories.

FWIW the tow hitch may be standard on Aus spec cars. So not sure if you should be slugged for it, maybe get a couple of hundred off! I agree if you want to tow off road with the Disco, Mitchell hitch looks the go.

Trivett quoted me a price to start from of $86000 without air. :o
I am lookin for the same I thought just shy of the $80K would be about right for on road price. But there are not many around, Alto have three D3s to last till November. Trivett have more and no-one has a price on the D4.

Trinity LR are discounting Def110 to pay the bills. Not a D3 in sight here.
The importer obviously doesn't want to be left with any and have
to discount a lousy dollar to the punters.

Plough comes supplied with the vehicle, the bit you pay for is the gooseneck.

I am going to have a look over the weekend to see whats around.

Is it worth getting the Allianz backed extended warranty? Does this need to be purchased when buying the vehicle or before the factory warranty runs out.

Allianz is the only one worth getting, you purchase before OEM warranty runs out.

I just purchased a Disco 3 today TDV6 SE in Stornoway Grey with rear air. I added rubber mats, window tint and tow bar to the vehicle. The vehicle arrives in late July / early August. I cant wait.
