hey guys.......wondering if anyone has the measurements / angles for the guard cut?!?!? Slunnie?!?!:confused:

Could be on the REMLR dvd too, although I 'don't recall any measurements there.
I'll check it out.

It was the tool bracket specs, showing the brackets on the guards. (it does show the cut, but not any measurements.)

DOYOUWANNAS111 or cut gaurds ? The cut gaurds are originally only on military 2A's.

Darkside, those drawings are to scale, so you would only have to measure them up and convert it ;)
I'll see if I can find the info and post it today.

You can't really do a genuine-style cut on a Series 3 because the lighting arrangement is in the way.

ahh but you can! the G-suffix IIA's that had the lights in the guards had the cut guards too, just a slightly different profile to the cut

I've never seen one, but thanks for the headsup. I have seen a 1970 2A ex-mil though, originally fitted with a Bamford winch, but it still had the lights in the grille panel. Already checked out on REMLR.

Which type of cut are you after? I'm not sure about angles, but I can take measurements of the guards..... They are the same cuts from the top leading angle back, with the front part only being different between the two cuts.

basically your guard cut is about what Im after slunnie. clearance for big tyres on a sIII:D

just got out of hospital tonight after having my knee reconstructed, from falling off a skip bin at work last week.So now I've got a lot of time to get on here and work stuff out
