Following Chris's excellent report on the riveting . I found that a air hammer is available at Super crap Auto for $20 ..... would be fairly easy to modify it for the rivetting

I have no associtaion with the company .. I spotted it and thought ..ideal rivetter.

The bucking bar would be fairly easy to make

G'day All, I have been using the same items for the past god knows how many years and yes it works well in most cases, there are some areas where it's nigh on impossible to get the tools in place cheers Dennis:angel:

I noticed Aldi had them this week, too.

yes ALDIS often has stuff like that .

A clever idea I spotted on the other forum is . Use the concave end of a small push rod ( any small OHV motor with push rods would suffice I think ) ..weld it to the air hammer bit and you have an ideal shape for the hammering ...

G'day All, Any capable fitter/machinist should be able to free hand turn the shape required cheers Dennis:angel:
