On the weekend I bounced home from Newcastle after much fun spent in Wallaroo and on Stocton Beach with Cal415 and a couple of other mates. The shocks have finally spit the dummy on me. So I was thinking 2" lift and new shocks at the same time.

I plan to remove the inner springs on the rear and replace with airbags. Has anyone done this and if so what springs did you use on the rear? The springs that suspension stuff is supplying for the 130 have a rate around 470lbs which is too stiff IMO.

I heard that possibly you can fit Range Rover springs in but Shane at suspension stuff says they are different sizes. Is this a problem is there some way i cna get around this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update:-
I have just been informed I can use a 110 spring in the rear, anyone know if this is correct or not? I believe they are smaller in diameter but whether this is an issue or not I have no idea. Any ideas?

As far as i was aware the defenders rear springs are a bigger diameter so unless you changed the bottem mounting plate to a smaller one (no idea if you could actually do this) the springs would not mount. I would have thought that rangie springs would have been to soft anyway to carry any real load in the back as the defenders are heavier than a rangie.
