https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2009/06/956.jpg

you have until Sun to think of a new topic for comp 14. the next comp will commence around 6pm Sun 14th June

The time frames remain the same as usual.......Comp starts Sun 14th uploading ends Sun 21st and voting will begin until the thurs.

So dm_td5 get your thinking cap on for a new topic and your own set of rules......As before be creative with the rules. ;):D

Just a thought,

the comp winner is announced on Thursday evening.
How about the new comp starts anytime between when the winner is announced and the 6pm Sunday deadline. ie whenever the winner posts up the new topic.

That way it gives a bit more time and more importantly an extra weekend, rather than the (nearly) 3 days dead time at the moment.

I would rather just keep it the same times......it works for me

not really consistent if on one comp you have 9 days to up load and another you have 7 and then another you might have 8 1/2.

At least this way you know what time you got and you fit accordingly.

you also no what time to expect the new comp and that way no one gets a head start. well apart from the time difference. :)

I need 3 days to think up something evil:twisted:

Actually I agree with Lou.

and make sure its very evil......the harder to think about challenges are the best ones and separates the boys from them men:D

Bushie: as for the times if you dont think they are working we can always do the 2 week thing like we talked about at the very start...I do fear how ever people will quickly lose interest and forget when it starts and finishes. But if the majority want it longer then we can try

Definitely not a big concern, I'm happy to leave it as is - was just a thought.

Now if we had two comps running, but alternate weeks that would be good - but a lot more work. :D:D

Evil thoughts didn't take as long as I believed they would. Either that or the theme for next weeks photo comp isn't very difficult at all. Anyway, I've sent the topic through to Lou so you'll all have to wait until Sunday evening to find out what it is;)

Congrats :) It must have been difficult to get the match in the right spot as depth of field would be narrow in those conditions :)

Not hard at all. D200 on tripod with remote trigger, 150mm Macro, SB-800 off camera to the left, match held in a cork (from a very nice bottle of red I must say too:)) and light from another match. The image is as shot, just converted from RAW to JPEG.

That’s where the quality of the picture came from. :wasntme:
