I took some photo's of a friends puppy the other day. They either came out way to dark or way to light. Just wondering if anyone has some time to have a play with them and let me know what/how you did/do what you do.

This what you are looking for?
Masked out the highlights then bumped up the brightness, lowered the contrast.

Nice job Lou! The noise comes from the low-res JPEG and is a normal side effect of what you've done. Would be better on a high-res JPEG, but could still happen and you probably found it wouldn't disappear with any noise reduction.
Siska - If you want a better picture, I can PM you my e-mail address so you can send the original to work with.
