View Full Version : BIG mugs?

with the colder weather kicking in, i'm drinking a lot more tea and coffee, and i've found that by the time i've walked back to my computer from the kitchen with a mug, its half empty.....

my solution? 2 cup pyrex jug, i've figured out it holds about 600ml before it becomes difficult to carry without spilling....

only problem is, i cant really do this anywhere but home, can i.....

does anyone else have a source of BIG mugs? i mean, something preferably in the 750ml-1 litre range......

I have a couple of these mugs and they take 750ml of fluid , my wife likes them too as she uses them to warm the sons botttles up in them too . Just put the bottle in and fill the mug with hot water

I use one of those big thermal mugs. Keeps my coffe warm for ages at work.

I find the capacity not the issue, but the temperature:D. I warm the cup first and I'm still having to commit the sin of microwaving the remaining half left after 5 minutes.

Never thought to use a thermal travel mug at home:angel:

'Rays Outdoors' normally stock a good selection of the larger thermal mugs .
Worth a look - but leave the credit card at home :D

temperature isnt a concern, size is!

The answer is get yourself a tea pot and if you want to be purists a coffee pot that's what they are designed to do, keep large amounts of hot fluid to pour into smaller cups

Sprint

and then im gonna be pouring a new cup from the pot every other minute!

remember, atm i'm drinking from a 500ml purex jug here!

Go to your nearest Caltex roadhouse, they have thermal coffee cups for the truckies that are about 6" in diameter.

Not sure on how much they hold but they are only about $12 from memory.

I am impressed by your bladder capacity sprint.

Just joking (a bit) about he PM......

and maybe the reason SPRINT has such a big mug is so he doesnt have to leave his desk to go to the toilet?????:o:o

Bundy and Coke is great for the cold weather. I can only sit on the one cup all evening though!:(

much as i dont mind the odd nip of bundy, the amount of driving i do, combined with having a new cop get posted to the town, makes bundy a potentially bad idea.....

discovered today that in the current Holden Racing Team merchandise range is a 20oz coffee mug.....

yes, i did buy one

no, i havent used it yet..... i'll be damned if i'm gonna be seen drinking out of something that would get nicknamed "porta potty".....

what am i waiting for? well..... i'm not sure wether i'm gonna respray it cobalt blue (colour of my falcon) or caterpillar yellow.....
