About 5000 kms up now, no problems at all to report. This one is an i6.
Things I like
- Starting is press & release, no need to crank the engine with the start button
- Recharging the key fob as it drives
- 4th is a very rapid overtaking gear!
- Really well tied down suspension for NSW's back roads
Thinks I'm not so keen on
- Still can't get used to the curved mirrors
- Steering's a bit light on the highway
Overall very happy. Easy to drive around town, very relaxed on the open road. Chalk & cheese to the Defender is an understatement.
Have to update the avatar now!

I hope you bought the Td4 - it's so much better on the open road than the Si6.

It's good that you're enjoying it. I'm 30 000km in and still enjoying mine, they really are a very good vehicle and extremely practical.

Done 23000kms on mine, no complaints apart from the lack of ground clearance. Drives like its still new... cant say the same for the paint :(
Enjoy :D

It debuted on the Orange TT! I think Max may have only picked it up the day before or a couple of days before!

There is one other thing that bugs me..
The key fob lock & unlock buttons are round the other way compared to the Defender.
Causes no end of confusion jumping from one car to the other. I'm not sure I'll ever get used to that!

Probably the same problem I'm having, driving between trees on tracks tends to leave scratches down the side. At least I'm the one putting them there unlike when I leave it at a car park.

Yeah, that would get annoying. That's why I take two carparks
