I did something remarkably similar a few years ago. It wasn't at quite the same speed, but it looked very much the same.
I was racing short circuit at Dubbo in the early '70s, riding a 125 Maico in the Ultralightweight class. I was in second place in one of the rounds of the NSW titles and the big end failed coming around the last corner on the last lap.
That wouldn't have been an immediate problem because i pulled the clutch in before anything happened. However, I could see the rest of the field who were almost half a lap behind catching up as I coasted towards the finish line.
As the bike slowed down and a couple of riders passed me, I was sure I had slowed down enough to get off and push the bike over the line.
I was dragged along beside the bike for several metres before I was able to climb back onto the bike and coast the rest of the way over the line.
I was probably doing 40 - 50 kmh when my feet hit the ground.
As it was on the main straight leading up to the finish line, all this happened in front of most of the spectators.

No that was the road racer.
Mine was the enduro model so it looked more like this.

Except that mine had a roundish steel tank and alloy guards and I had to make my own expansion chamber. I used to remove the headlight and taillight for racing.
