The subject for photocomp #14 is:
Torched!
This could burn out a few bulbs, flatten a few batteries, be very illuminating or just go up in flames. So let's get creative...

Metho burns with a quite visible flame due to the impurities in it.
Pure alcohol on the other hand ........................

Maybe its too close to the last subject ;)
Wasn't intending too. I was more thinking of just being creative. I'm sure Lou will come up with something special before Sunday.

ok so I will deffinatly have a picture in tonight for the comp....as I want to try something later if it doesn't work out I have a back up picture I can put in.:)
Come on everyone.....its not hard i'm sure some of you have gas stoves or BBq's or butane torches or lights/lighters or something! you cant tell me you have no inspiration for a picture. The only excuse is laziness to take out 5 mins of your time to pick up your camera :p

It's an LED night light. Pic was taken in the dark, with the light on a black chair in front of a mirror. Only post processing was a crop.

It looks a lot better lit up!
I suppose I should also explain mine:
Taken outdoors at night. Stainless steel plate with a small sponge in the centre, fill with coins and then pour on a little lamp oil and metho and a long match. I was trying to get more colour in the flames, but couldn't.
Camera was mounted on tripod about 60cm away with a remote shutter release. D200, 24-70 f/2.8 > 10sec 70mm @ f/5.6
