I'm doing a trip to Tassie in the Freelander, I'm going to drive her in to the river and cross my fingers for a Defender.:p:twisted:

So when do you head over to the great southern island?

They'll be a Defender going over in early August as we are booked on the little boat already for then.

Sorry, was meant as a joke, just been watching the Boags advert....

No Plans to head to Tassie in the near future, doing a trip to QLD in September but will be in the new car not the Freebie.

I'm starting to realise why I prefer Cascade to Boags...

... I thought it was because we lived in the southern half...

...this thread is getting weird:confused:

Yes, Cascade beer and Lark's Tasmanian Apple Schnapps are the best drops for there

Friend of mine works for a tas gov dept that has a couple of these for towing, they have already destroyed 1 engine and they now have big notes taped to the dash 'Operator to check oil and water daily':p
last time I took a squiz at one, after 3000km it had drunk 1.5 litres of oil:o
Very environmentally friendly vehicles - NOT. Even my 550k old 4BD1 used less than 500ml over 10,000km.
