I reckon Toyota have made some of the worst (and perhaps best) car ads:D. Add your crap Toyota ads here.
This one might be seen as racist in 2009...?
YouTube - Toyota Landcruiser ad Australia 1990

Do you watch SBS? I have seen adds for both the D3 and the Freelander - but I take your point, LR could never be accused of over doing it. :D

The RRS advert gets a bit of airtime. However, I saw much better LR ads in the USA.

I remember one from the 70's to the tune of "When I was 17"......
It showed this guy growing up from corolla to corona to cressida and finally grey haired old codger in a crown......What a sad life! :lol2: I can't find it on youtube - probably a good thing.
They have got a couple of good ones - The "Bugger" ads were quite funny.
I found this one on youtube too:
YouTube - Toyota Advert Filmed in Scotland
Sorry I'll go and find some shockers!!!

:Rolling::Rolling::Rolling: It looks just like some people I know:angel:
I remember the slight controversy when Toyota named their badge-engineered version of the VN Commodore. Apparently they were going to name it "Admiral", because that was a step up from a "Commodore". After pressure was applied by Holden they came up with a new name: Lexcen. Named in honour after the late famed designer of the America's Cup winning Australia II, talented marine engineer Ben Lexcen, this cloned Toyota version had nothing more of inspiration other than model badges to distinguish it from the original. The ad spruiks, "Be a little bit different". Oh, the irony.

A more recent announcement from the car companies ............
RENAULT & FORD TO MERGE !
Renault & Ford are working together to build an affordable small car.
They are using the Renault Clio & the Ford Taurus as a basis for the new zippy little car.... The Clitaurus.
The car comes in pink, with fur on the dash.
(Note: Models assembled in Brazil will not offer the fur option.)
