gidday, i have recently brought my self a 200tdi defender ute after rolling my 300tdi , problem is i just cant get it goen any were near as good as me old one it goes bout as well as a 2.8 hilux i used to be able to beat hilux's no worries at all , ive wound up the pump , bit more boost idunno how much yet to put a boost gauge in ,installed a pyro i get high egt's pretty easy the motor was rebuilt bout 40,000 ago (it got cooked) its getting full throttle the valves are adjusted all good ,new air filter, it starts an runs fine still good on fuel
idunno wat else to apart from checking the timing belt witch im really not keen on doen is thier anythin else i should be checken out first?

Hi Mate,
Fuel sedimenter? Mate of mine did some work on my 200tdi Disco few months back. Fuel sedimenter was full of mold.
Doubt it will make much difference but something to improve. I hear unscrewing the unit is the best. I drained the water out myself from the drain plug, did not catch the mold issue.
Mine comes and goes with the power, will be interested to see what the folks have to say.

i thought about that the 300tdi had one, im pretty sure this one hasnt got it ,if it does its in a different spot i'll check again any how , i dont think fuel is the problem anyway its getten plenty blows a bit soot atm

the 200tdi trayback we had didn't have one....

dirty intercooler,collapsing hoses,tyre sizes can make a difference

i changed like the top hose that goes onto the turbo looks like it had a split no difference i've heard of collapseing hose's how does this happen if's theirs boost ? i'll clean the intercooler it was a bit oily looken

the 200tdi trayback we had didn't have one....
The 200 Tdi I had had fuel filter/sediment catch against the firewall on drivers side.
My 200 Tdi had a preference for BP fuel.
